It all began with a single vision: creating a platform that instead of costing merchants’ money, would help them make it.
With this goal in mind, we asked ourselves a pivotal question: if anything were possible, what would be the ideal way to drive profits while meeting consumer demand? What our research revealed was nothing short of groundbreaking.
We simply looked at what consumers were willing to pay more for. One standout finding was the demand for VIP services. Intrigued by this, we dug deeper to understand the what, where, and why behind consumers’ willingness to spend more. We began with industries like travel—examining airlines and resorts—before expanding to more everyday experiences like dining and entertainment.
Our research showed that 30-40% of U.S. consumers are willing to pay significantly more for priority service and premium products. When asked why, the responses included saving time, the desire to purchase only the best, and simply feeling above or in a different class.
Armed with this insight, we set out to create our platform. After 16 months of research and development, partner vetting, and team building, ExpressX was born.
